What is a beer bike?
The beer bike combines the best of both worlds: conviviality and mobility. As you pedal together and tour the surroundings, enjoy a refreshing beer, tapped directly from the built-in beer tap.

Why do I pay a deposit?
To guard the lasting quality of our beer bikes in the long run, we require a deposit of 200 € for each reservation. You can transfer this in advance, or pay cash at the start of the tour.
The deposit is important to ensure the integrity of our services. In most cases, we get the beer bike back undamaged. If we get the beer bike back in good condition, we refund the full amount of the deposit immediately.
Why should we choose a Bob?
Everyone loves Bob, the down-to-earth driver who makes sure everyone enjoys carefree fun and gets back home safely. You can appoint your own Bob within your group to take on this role.
Otherwise, you can hire a professional Bob through Beer Bike Tours. For €25 an hour, everyone in your party can freely enjoy the beer bike tour.

To guarantee the quality of our beer bikes, we require a deposit of €200. This deposit should be handed over in cash at the start of the tour.
How much does it cost to rent a beer bike?
Costs depend on the rental period, delivery location, drinks chosen and your choice of Bob. Easily calculate your price with our reservation tool.
Do you need a driving licence for a beer bike?
A valid car licence (B) is required to drive the beer bike. The driver (Bob) must be at least 18 years old and stay sober. If you want to enjoy carefree fun, you can hire a professional BOB for €25 per hour.
How many people can fit on a beer bike?
Our beer bike can accommodate 17 people: 10 pedals, 2 extra seats without pedals, 3 passengers at the back, 1 driver and 1 barman. The minimum number for hire is 10 people.
How does a beer bike work?
A beer bike combines cycling with social contact. Passengers pedal together to propel the bike, led by a sober driver. There is a barman on board who serves drinks.
Can I use the beer bike on public roads?
Yes, you may. Ideally, you should opt for quiet routes outside busy city centres. The beer bike is an ideal vehicle to explore scenic country roads, local villages or the coastline. Drinking alcohol is allowed, as long as it does not cause a nuisance.
Can I bring my own drinks on the beer bike?
Yes, you may bring your own drinks. If you bring your own keg, we do charge an extra rent for the tap system. You can also come to us for a wide range of drinks. You choose these in advance, during the
reservation.
How does the guarantee work?
You bring the deposit amount in cash at the start of the rental. Upon your return, we will inspect the beer bike for damage. If we find no damage, you will get the deposit back immediately. See our general terms and conditions for more information.
Do I need to submit an application to the city or municipality?
No, that is not necessary. We do ask you to respect traffic rules and local regulations.
How fast can I ride a beer bike?
That speed is 5-10 km per hour. The harder you pedal, the faster you go. A 7 km ride takes around 2 hours. For a 10 km ride, you'll quickly spend 4 hours.
Can we return the beer bike at a location other than the starting point?
Yes, you can. We will bring the beer bike to the starting point you have agreed and pick it up again at the same place or another agreed point. Plan your route well, keeping in mind a speed of 5-10 km per hour.
Do you deliver within a low-emission zone?
Yes, we deliver within low-emission zones.
Can I ride my beer bike in the dark?
Yes, the beer bikes are equipped with plenty of lights and reflectors, so you can be safe on the road at night too.
How can I play music on the beer bike?
Our music system offers the following features:

Can we decorate the beer bike?
Yes, you can. Decorating is done during the rental period. It is best to use ropes, bows and plastic strips, which you can apply and remove without damage. Stickers, adhesive tape and/or duct tape are not allowed.
Is the beer bike insured?
The lessee is liable for damage to the rented beer bike that was not established at the start of the rental period. The lessee is also responsible for damages suffered by the lessor due to theft and/or loss during the rental period.
